Lecture: Mariateresa Sartori "From subjective to objective and back"

Tuesday, February 25, 2014
02.00 pm

KiT / seminar room
Innherredsveien 7 A / 3rd floor
Trondheim

In her talk, Mariateresa Sartori will present selected works, videos and drawings, which relate the individual and subjective experience back to general principles in order to describe human nature in a more general way. These works move from subjective to objective and back, between art and neuroscience, between language and music, and between art and physics.

About:
Mariateresa Sartori is an artist who lives and works in Venice. Her work is strongly influenced by her specific interest in neuroscience, music, linguistics and philosophy of science, all of which offer specific angles to observe human behavior. She teaches public drawing courses to absolute beginners using Betty Edwards’ method, which is based on the same neuroscientific assumptions that inspire her artistic research.

A workshop by Mariateresa Sartori will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. More information about the workshop you'll find in our calendar and a sign up list you will find on the door to sculpture studio. Limited to 20 participants.
