Lines: A workshop with Tumi Magnússon concentrates on the line in a broad perspective. It addresses the line as it appears in different mediums of visual art, different forms of art and in the line as a concept. A line is not only a drawn or painted mark on paper or canvas. It can also appear as a process, as sound, as a line of movement, as a basic manifestation of almost everything.

The workshop deals with drawing out the element of the line in art and life using any possible medium. In fact using more than one medium is seen as positive in the workshop, since that approach broadens the artist’s scope and adds to his possibilities.

The workshop includes an initial lecture on lines, some shorter introductions on specific elements, studio visits, and a final presentation of works by the students.
