Public Lecture - exhibition architecture Oren Sagiv
Studio Oren Sagiv was established in 2004 and has since focused on architectural installations in close collaboration with the arts. The studio has created numerous spaces and structures for the world’s leading museums, galleries and cultural events and festivals, as well as for dance, theatre and perfomances. The studio is active in designing unique ephemeral structures reacting on specific urban situations and thus exploring and investigating possible forms and programs in the city’s fabric. Oren is a professor of architecture at the Department of Architecture at the Bezalel Academy for Art and Design in Jerusalem and also the chief designer of the Israel Museum, leading the Museum’s in-house design team.
He was the head architect and co-curator for the 31st addition of the Sao Paulo Biennial, which opened September 2014. His work has been presented in various exhibitions as well as international theory symposia and was published in international architectural publications.
