A/V PÅ is a lecture and seminar series focussing upon audio-visuality within contemporary practices including video art, artists' film and multi-media installation. The course will consist of four elements over the whole academic year, beginning in October 2017 and ending in April 2018. The first two parts during autumn semester 2017 will be two-day seminars with screenings and guest speakers. In spring 2018 there will be two further screening seminars.
Part two takes place 22 November. The programme will feature a guest lecture by Bergen-based artists Hilde Hauan Johnsen and Maia Urstad, who have collaborated for several years on installations combining fibre optics and digital sound. Hilde Hauan Johnsen is Professor of Textiles at the Faculty of Art, Design and Music, University of Bergen and has been a leader in the development of contemporary Norwegian textile art. Maia Urstad is an internationally renowned sound artist known for large scale audio installations and radio projects.
