- PROJECT / WORKSHOP
Material ( ) Art: An investigation

Project / workshop sculpture class

The project focus is a critical reflection on: “material (in) art” – material base; “the material (as) art” – material / immaterial; “material (and) art” – the relation / binary opposition material and content; “the material (is) art” – an opposition in question
Simply put: What is the meaning of “material () art” in our times? And, consequently: What is the impact of material () art on our Environment at large?

This workshop is to be understood as an experiment: To investigate the material you use and to analyze the meaning of material in your artistic practice in relation to the environment at large: ecological, social, political (incl. economical) and historical reference.

Please note: Art & Common Space focus is on the topic: Materiality and Anthropocene. I recommend highly to take part in the lecture series of Art & Common Space which takes place Thursdays from 10.00 – 01.00 pm.
